InTouch Internet Ordering

Orders placed by your customers on a website appearing directly on your inTouch screen – too good to be true? Not at all.

On-line Ordering is now here to stay. It is an accepted, now expected, method of customers placing an order with you – a natural extension to any delivery business. After all, we now live in an age when people find it easier to remember web addresses than telephone numbers.

Customers who order on-line spend more – average on-line order values are reported to be typically 15% -17% higher than average telephone orders – and they don’t call your competitor if your line is busy. People who order on-line have more time to browse the whole menu and offers – and your lines are kept free for those “old fashioned” customers who use the phone.

In early 2005, Integer brought On-line Ordering within the budget of the independent operator for the first time – and it works. Currently our independent customers take an average of £500 per week in on-line orders and rising – some take £500 per night!

As of 2008, Integer now offer a bespoke design service for On-line Ordering for customers who already have their own branding and a strong visual identity. Please contact us to see examples of this service and for further information.

How Does It Work?

Obviously you need to have broadband at the store to take advantage of On-line Ordering – remember broadband opens up many other benefits to you. If you don’t already have a website, you will need a domain name (we can help you organise this) and we can easily put a page on the web for you.

When you add the On-line Ordering module to your inTouch software you can then upload your store menu to the website. You are now ready to receive on-line orders!

Your customers will place their orders on a screen similar to your order screen. They can see descriptions of each dish, add toppings, choose flavours, use cooking instructions and select Meal Deals – even add Delivery notes. Just like you can!

At the start of their order, your customer must enter their postcode. If they live outside your delivery area, they will receive a message telling them (politely) that you are unable to deliver to them. If they try to order when your store is closed, they will receive a message asking them to try again during opening hours.

At the end of each order, your customer can pay by credit card or by PayPal.

Integer has teamed up with YESpay International to integrate on-line credit card processing into their inTouch software.

The YESpay service replaces a PDQ machine and allows the operator to process customers’ credit card payments in seconds during telephone orders – conveniently on the same screen. We will also supply you with a Chip & Pin-pad for secure “customer present” transactions (takeaways & pickups).

The monthly payment to YESpay is similar to the rental that you pay for a PDQ terminal. The Acquiring bank that you use (e.g. Streamline) will still take a percentage of each transaction.

If you already have a PDQ terminal, it is advisable to check with your bank that you are not locked in to a rental agreement for the terminal. You will need to ask your Acquiring bank to transfer your merchant number from the PDQ terminal to EMBOSS use (they should know what this means).

If you do not already have a relationship with an Acquiring Bank and a merchant number, you will need to apply to an Acquiring Bank e.g. Barclays Merchant Services, Streamline, HSBC or Lloyds, for a merchant number for EMBOSS use. The application to YESpay cannot be processed until you have a merchant number.

YESpay application forms can be downloaded here.

It takes up to 7 working days for YESpay to implement this service after they receive fully and correctly completed forms.

Please contact us if you have any questions about the YESpay service.
